Back in June I was tasked with shooting Tyler Creator’s Headlining set at Govball in NYC. One small issue, our outlet wasn’t approved for photo pit access. Now in this situation you have 2 options you can either watch from the back of the crowd and call it a day… or you can camp out with 60,000 people and shoot from the crowd. I hate not delivering photos for a high priority artist on my shot list and will do everything I can to get the shot I need.

I am so happy I sweated it out with the crowd. Anytime I get to shoot like this, there is another level of energy to the shots. The crowd acts as character in the frame rather than being left out as a compositional imperfection.
