Flash Back Friday- CHVRCHES 10/19/2018

NOTES:

CHVRCHES was probably my favorite stage lighting to shoot in 2018. Their set design was a storm of strobes that matched the bands newfound uptempo stage presence. The growth this band has had in their live performance over the years just further proves how special they are.

Their Philadelphia show marked the first show at the Newly renamed Franklin Music Hall (Formerly and will always be referred to as The Electric Factory).This stop being near tail end of their tour for the new record Love is Dead,  we saw the production to be extremely polished. With Lead singer Lauren Mayberry being completely synced with lighting cues, making every movement that much more impactful. I love shows like this, they walk that fine line between music and spectacle in a way that compliments one another rather taking focus away from the music.
