Melt brought an electrifying energy to Webster Hall on October 20th for their New City Show. From the opening notes of "Waves," lead singer Veronica Stewart-Frommer had the crowd bouncing and singing along. With bursts of horns, a groovy bassline, and spring-loaded guitar, Melt seamlessly weaved funk, soul, ska, rock, prog, and more into their set. The crowd danced along to older hits like "Inside," while new releases like "Fade into You" showcased the band's ability to blend multiple genres together. The night ended with a debut cover of Neil Young's "Harvest Moon," which was transformed into a groovy disco jam. The show-closing "Sour Candy" had the entire audience singing at full volume and left everyone feeling like they were already home. Overall, Melt's performance was a testament to their live band status and left the crowd buzzing with excitement.
